Tales From The Chair - November

Your monthly round up of everything I’ve been discussing and discovering straight from the salon chair . . .

Local Mentions:

Lovely, local lady and client Milly has launched canine care line Paloma’s Products gorgeous, grooming goodies for pampered pooches.

Teddington High Street’s Gosia’s Cafe & Deli has been transformed into the cosiest, Christmassiest space (They do a great hot chocolate, conveniently located on route to Bushy Park!)

Skincare Faves:

A new addition to my facial kit this month has been The Rice Polish (classic) from Japanes skincare brand Tatcha. A water activated, powder to paste exfoliant that creates a cloud like foam for a super gentle way to help remove dead skin cells. Silk proteins condition and papaya enzymes help reveal a brighter, smoother complexion.

Beauty Bits:

New at Venwood, we are now stocking Davines Italian Haircare. Wonderful formulations and beautifully aromatic fragrances, the OI range is a personal fave!

Style Spy:

Home / London based Artist Nephthys Foster designs the sweetest art to adorn your walls.

Over To You:

Already a super fan of the Pocket Negroni, Tracey introduced me to White Box Cocktails Squeezy’s Margarita. Banish any canned cocktail snobbery, these little tipples pack a real punch and taste great!

Been hearing great things about Hagen , Danish espresso bars gracing Notting Hill, Chelsea, Mayfair, South Ken, Belgravia and Marylebone. Yet to visit myself but now firmly on my visit list!

Debbie was telling me all about Writer, Columnist, Speaker and Kindness Scientist (yes apparently that’s a thing) Dr David R Hamilton. He has spent years extensively researching the connection between mind and body and how we can influence both mental and physical health with the power of thoughts and emotions. If this is the kind of subject that grabs your attention, check out the lengthy list of of books he has written on the topic.

During a knitwear chat, Alex confirmed that British brand Navy Grey is a worthy investment that will stand the test of time. The jumper brand has been on my radar for a little while so good to have a recommendation first hand! Plus for Christmas they are offering personalised monogramming (order before 4th Dec!)

Thanks for reading, I hope you discovered something new !
